Our Premium Package is intended for freshman or sophomores who desire expert advice on choosing a college that will be the "right fit" for them. This package includes regular email communication to ensure that the student is staying on track and following through with all the recommendations suggested to maximize their success at getting into the colleges chosen. It can include all of the services listed above but is often customized to meet the needs of the individual family so price is determined after the initial consultation.
Essay Editing
Our essay review offerings help students who want advice limited to their college application essays; depending on where in the process of writing the essays the student is, this advice can take the form of helping to brainstorm ideas, serving as a sounding board for preliminary ideas, and/or reviewing completed essay drafts.
With the
Premium Essay Advising Package, we will:
- Submit a questionnaire (via email) that will help the student find the one topic that will allow them to synthesize their important personal characteristics and experiences into a coherent whole
- Provide a detailed list of tips for writing the college essay
- Conduct a phone or personal interview in order to select the best topic and theme for the essay and develop a strong outline for the material
- Review and critique the first draft for revision
- Critique subsequent drafts until the essay is ready to submit
There is a discount if more than one essay is required.
With the Basic Essay Advising Package, we will:
- Collect a draft version of your essay via email
- Give it a complete proofread, correcting any grammar or spelling mistakes
- Write an extensive critique; providing clear and comprehensive guidance on how you can improve the structure, focus, clarity, and effectiveness of your essay
- Proofread the final draft
There is a discount if more than one essay is required.
Application Review
Our application review service is intended for seniors who know the schools to which they will apply, who have already completed a draft of the substantive parts of their college applications, and who would like to receive feedback on how to strengthen their application.
With the Basic Application Review Package, we will:
- Meet with student to review the application
- Identify any red flags or inconsistencies and generally help the student to present himself in the best possible light within the confines of the application
- Make suggestions that will help differentiate the student from the competition
With the "Get Organized" Packet, valuable information is provided on how colleges make admissions decisions and it includes the following sections:
- Clubs, Sports, and Volunteering
- Report Cards and Class Schedules
- Test Scores and Information
- Scholarships, Awards, and Honors
